Site Assessment and Callender Aeroparts

Callender Aeroparts in Accrington, Lancs, manufacture titanium blades (for jet engines) for a number of major aerospace jet engine manufacturing companies. Callender Aeroparts are therefore registering for ISO 14001.

As part of their preparation, Callender Aeroparts contacted Fosse Liquitrol to carry out a Spill Risk Minimisation site assessment for them, free of charge. Fosse Liquitrol were asked by Callender Aeroparts to review their level of preparadness to respond to any uncontrolled releases of liquid and to identify ways in which risks of spills can be minimised. On implementing the recommendations and equipping the plant, through their preferred supplier with Fosse Liquitrol equipment, they then enrolled key members of their team in an onsite Accredited Spill Prevention and Response Training course.
