Bund Survey, Repair and Relining ServiceBulk tanks storing fuel, oils or chemicals often pose the greatest potential spillage risk on site. The Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) (England) Regulations 2001 require sound tanks and secondary containment or bunding to contain a spill should it occur. The Regulations are specific in defining the minimum capacity of the bunds. The Environment Agencys Pollution Prevention Guideline PPG2 recommend the reinforced concrete construction and the impermeable lining of such bunds. The bunds of many companies are not built or maintained to a standard to comply with legal requirements or best practice. Fosse Liquitrol has a team of experts who can assess the bunding and can repair and reline the bunding to bring it up to a standard where it will comply with legislation and will last for a guaranteed lifetime. The team repairing and relining the bunds are highly specialised in industrial relining work and are fully trained in all disciplines: The bunds would be structurally repaired and then the surface prepared using mechanical means including gritblasting. An appropriate resin would be selected for the stored liquids and the GRP system applied that will offer decades of protection. Glassfibre reinforced products (GRP) enjoy a wide range of uses and applications. The performance to strength makes GRP ideal for relining bunds where quality, long life, efficiency and effectiveness are important.
